Crookston, Minn. - The Golden Eagles officially have three players on the ACHA's Central All-Region Team. This comes after an extremely successful season for the program, and a very productive season for a number of players.
Mason Romfo (Fr., F, Langdon, Minn.) and Alexander Bailey (R-Jr., D, Crosby, N.D.) cracked the Central Region First team. Romfo, who led the Golden Eagles in scoring and was tied for second in the entire ACHA, finished the year with 30 goals and 66 points. In Regionals, Romfo had one goal and four points in the three games played. Bailey, who was fourth in the ACHA in terms of points by a defenseman with 39 and second in the Central, had a great first year with the Golden Eagles as he led the team in scoring by a defenseman and was tied for second in goals by a Golden Eagles defenseman. Both players are extremely deserving following tremendous seasons and helping the Golden Eagles come within a goal of a Nationals berth.
The third Golden Eagle to crack an All-Region team is Anthony Foster (So., F, Warroad, Minn.) who made the Central Region Second Team last year. This year, Foster has made the Central Region Third Team. Foster, who was second on the Golden Eagles in points with 54, finished as the 15th highest scorer in the ACHA. Foster has now scored 106 points in just 58 games played as a Golden Eagle. He finished the Regional Tournament with two points in the three games played.
