Golden Eagle Tennis Set for Home Opener Against Concordia College

Crookston, Minn. - The Golden Eagles are set for their first home game of the 2025 season, with a matchup against the Cobbers. The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 1-2 record on the year. Meanwhile, the Cobbers will come in looking for their first win of the season, starting 0-6. 

 

The Golden Eagles are hoping to bounce back in this game after a tough loss against the University of North Dakota. The Golden Eagles and Cobbers have played each other just twice before, in 2015 and 2024. In 2015, it was the Cobbers that got the best of the Golden Eagles in a 7-2 victory. In 2024, the roles were reversed with the Golden Eagles taking the match 6-1.

 

The Cobbers. The Cobbers have struggled coming into this season, losing each of their first six games. Leading the way in singles are: Carley Motz with a 1-4 record and Annalise Skrade with a 1-5 record.

 

In doubles, it is: Ava Lowman and Isabelle Smith with a 1-4 record, and Carley Motz and Annalise Skrade with a 1-1 record.

 

The match is set to start at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 16th at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D.
