Crookston, Minn. - The Golden Eagles will be in Fargo, North Dakota this weekend as they take on North Dakota State University. This will be the ninth and 10th meeting between these two programs, a matchup that the University of Minnesota Crookston has largely dominated. The Golden Eagles will enter the weekend with a 6-2-0 record following their weekend split with the University of St. Thomas. Meanwhile, the Bison come in with a 5-6-1 record, with all 12 of those games being conference games.

The Golden Eagles boast a 7-1-0 record in their head to head matchups with the Bison, with the Bison getting their first win in the last meeting between these two teams, that snapped the Golden Eagles' seven game win streak against the Bison. The Golden Eagles have scored 54 goals in their eight games against the Bison, that is good for an average of 6.75 goals per game. The Golden Eagles have allowed 22 goals to the Bison, which is 2.75 goals against per game.

The Golden Eagles Player to Watch this weekend is Dalston Kelly (Jr., F, Minto, N.D.) who is coming off of arguably his best weekend of his collegiate career. His big game came on Friday night against the Tommies, where he put home the Golden Eagles' second goal of the game, assisted on the team's third goal, and had the only assist on the Golden Eagles' game winning goal Friday night. Kelly's line, along with Kadin Edwards (Fr., F, Crookston, Minn.) and Ben Hines (Jr., F, Detroit Lakes, Minn.) was the Golden Eagles' best line this past weekend and will look to carry that momentum moving forward. Kelly has three goals and three assists for six points in eight games, matching his point total from 2024-25 and is halfway to his career high of 12, which he achieved as a freshman in 2023-24.

The Golden Eagles and the Bison are set for puck drop on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the H.A. Thompson and Sons Arena in Fargo. Saturday's game will be at the same arena at noon.
