                     GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team won a fall exhibition match with new NSIC foe University of Jamestown 4-3 Friday, October 24 at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks.
In doubles, the Golden Eagles took the doubles point with a pair of victories. Asli Oktay and Ariadna Solis Guals defeated Anna Sharandachenko, and Mariia Sharandachenko, 6-0. At the No. 3 slot, Kavya Singh and Nadia Cases Mundet upended Sydney Friesen and Laia Vallespi, 6-1. At the No. 1 spot, Daniela de Lucas Rivera and Terez Drasilova fell 6-2 to Bodil van Zeijl, and Julie van Zeijl.
In singles, de Lucas Rivera picked up a win in three sets over Bodil van Zeijl, winning 6-3, 4-5, 10-5 at the No. 1 spot. At No. 2 singles, Oktay was defeated 6-0, 6-3 by Julie van Zeijl. At the No. 3 slot, Cases Mundet fell in three to Anna Sharandachenko. Drasilova earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles over Mariia Sharandachenko. At No. 5 singles, Abril Manas Hernandez was defeated 6-1, 6-0 by Vallespi. At No. 6 singles, Singh upended Friesen, 6-1, 6-1.
The Golden Eagles will play a second exhibition match November 1 against University of Mary in Grand Forks.Â
