MILL SPRING, N.C. - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team wrapped up the 2023-24 season last weekend at the 2024 IHSA National Championships at Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.
The Golden Eagles had three student-athletes compete at the National Championships, with each earning IHSA Honorable Mention honors. Gabriella Siefkes (Sr., Aberdeen, S.D.) wrapped up her great Golden Eagle career by earning Honorable Mention in Individual Open Equitation over Fences, and Individual Open Equitational on the Flat. Alexandra Wentland (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) took Honorable Mention accolades in Individual Intermediate Equitation over Fences, while Hailey Schlotfeldt (So., Luverne, N.D.) took Honorable Mention in Individual Beginner Horsemanship.
The three riders successfully represented the University of Minnesota Crookston among some of the top collegiate equestrian riders in the nation.
