CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team will play their final home games of 2024 Wednesday, May 1 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., against the University of Mary. The games were moved from Tuesday to Wednesday due to weather.
The Golden Eagles are headed into the home stretch of the regular season as they are jockeying for seeding in the NSIC Tournament. The Golden Eagles come into Wednesday with a 29-14 (23-10 NSIC) mark. They are one win away from their first-ever back-to-back 30 win seasons. The Golden Eagles are four wins away from setting their program record for NSIC victories in a season. Minnesota Crookston comes into the week as the No. 3 team in the NSIC standings. They are a half-game ahead of St. Cloud State University, and two games behind Minnesota State University in second.
The University of Mary comes into the weekend with a 22-21 (18-15 NSIC) record. They are currently sixth in the NSIC standings. If the season ended today, Minnesota Crookston would play UMary in the opening round of the NSIC Tournament. Minnesota Crookston has a 4-3 edge on the Marauders in their last seven tilts.
