BURNSVILLE, Minn. - University of Minnesota Crookston tennis player Madeleine Schneider (Sr., Gartringen, Germany) has continued her strong season by earning her second NSIC Player of the Week accolade. Schneider also garnered the honor February 20.

She went 2-0 at No. 1 singles, and 1-1 at No. 2 doubles in wins over Seton Hill, and California (Pa.). Schendier defeated Carissa Shepard of Seton Hill 6-3, 6-0. She upended Diletta Maria Mungo of California (Pa.) 6-2, 3-6, 16-14. Schneider won the super tiebreaker over Mungo to send the Golden Eagles to a 5-2 victory. She teamed with Blaike Zander to defeat Mungo and Bega Gotor, 6-2. Schneider improved to 8-1 this season at the No. 1 singles.

The Golden Eagles have had a historic 2024 season, setting their all-time wins mark with a 7-2 (2-2 NSIC) mark. Schneider has earned NSIC Player of the Week four times in her career.
