Madison, Wis. - Fresh off their win last night, the Golden Eagles were unable to complete the sweep today against the Badgers. For the Golden Eagles, they would go back to Adam Goody (So., G, Airdrie, Alberta) for his first back-to-back starts of the season. He entered today's game with a 4-1-0 record, along with a .946 save percentage and a goals against average of 1.50. The Badgers would turn their net over to Robert Gallun, who came into the morning with a 2-1-0 record, with a 3.00 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.

The Badgers got things started just over nine minutes in, when Dominic Valentini broke through to make it 1-0. Exactly two minutes later, Cade Kiehl extended the Badgers lead to 2-0. Both goalies were holding strong and not letting up. The period would end with the Badgers holding their 2-0 lead.

The Badgers would score two more early on in the second, with Carson Gunderson scoring the first just over one minute into the second. Jeremy Shandel scored a minute and a half after, and the Badgers were quickly up 4-0. The rest of the period would go by without a goal, until there was just 1:08 left on the clock. Jackson Dodds (R-Jr., F, Watford City, N.D.) would break through Gallun, he was assisted by Logan Syrup (Sr., F, Park River, N.D.) and Fox Dodds (R-Jr., F, Watford City, N.D.) to make it a 4-1 game going into the third period.

Dominic Valentini made it 5-1 eight minutes into the third. 30 seconds later, Justin Schneider scored to make it 6-1. The rest of the period would remain scoreless, with the Golden Eagles suffering their largest loss in two years.

The Golden Eagles return to action at home Friday, November 15th at 7 p.m. as they take on Lake Region State. This will kick off a long homestand that will keep the Golden Eagles from playing on the road until January 31st.
