Marshall, Minn. – After round one at the Everspring Inn Mustang Invite in Marshall, Minn., Minnesota Crookston women's golf currently sits in sixth place out of 12 teams, shooting 322 as a team.
Augustana shot 292 to pace the field, while Sioux Falls (315) is in second. Chadron State and Morningside University each shot a 317 and are in a tie for third. Minnesota State currently sits three strokes ahead of the maroon and gold with a 319.
After shooting a record round of 70 last Tuesday in Lake City,
Anaka Lysne (So., Wahpeton, N.D.) finished with a 76 on Saturday, putting her in a tie for fifth. At one point, Lysne was in a tie for second.
Clara Hanson (Jr., Grand Forks, N.D.) is in a tie for 24
th after shooting an 80, while
Ainsley McLain (Fr., Grafton, N.D.) and
Lauren Bowyer (So., Ivanhoe, Minn.) are in a tie for 39
th, individually.
Lysne finished with two birdies on the first 18, while Hanson had one in her round.
The Golden Eagles will look to finish the tournament off strong tomorrow morning into the afternoon. The Golden Eagles will tee-off at 9:30 tomorrow morning.
