McLain Paces Three Top-25 Finishes for the Golden Eagles; Minnesota Crookston Finishes Fifth at 9th Annual Tracy Lane Memorial

Bemidji, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston women's golf opened up their fall season by finishing fifth at the Tracy Lane Invitational hosted by Bemidji State University.
 
The University of North Dakota paced the field shooting 55 over par, but barely hung on to first after shooting 37 over par this afternoon, 19 strokes worse than yesterday. MSU Mankato finished one stroke behind UND, while Concordia-St. Paul and Minot State rounded out the top four.
 
Minnesota Crookston shot +58 yesterday and +57 today, good for finishing 20 strokes ahead of BSU for fifth place.
 
Playing in her first tournament as a Golden Eagle, Ainsley McLain (Fr., Grafton, N.D.) paced the Golden Eagles with a 24 over par. Clara Hanson (Jr., Grand Forks, N.D.) was right behind McLain, placing 23rd individually after shooting 25 over par through the 36 holes. Anaka Lysne (So., Wahpeton, N.D.) placed 25th individually, shooting 27 over par.
 
Minnesota Crookston will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Concordia-St. Paul/Minnesota State Invite held in Hudson, Wis.
