Former Golden Eagle Pitcher Richardson Signs with Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks

FARGO, N.D. - Former University of Minnesota Crookston pitcher Conner Richardson (Grand Forks, N.D.) signed a deal to play professionally with the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks of the American Association. Richardson joins his former teammate Jake Dykhoff (Wadena, Minn.) as members of the Redhawk pitching staff. He becomes the eighth former Golden Eagle to play professional baseball. Will Zimmerman (Park River, N.D.) is the only other former Minnesota Crookston baseball player currently playing professionally. He plays for the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League.

 

Richardson played five years for the Golden Eagles. He picked up 11 wins and posted a 4.44 ERA in 192.2 innings pitched in his career. Richardson is second all-time in innings pitched in Minnesota Crookston history. He struck out 132 and walked 66 in his career. Richardson was a starter his first four seasons, but converted to a closer role in 2023. Richardson led the Golden Eagles with three saves and went 4-3 in 18 appearances. He struck out 25, and walked 12. He held opponents to a .250 batting average as a redshirt senior.
