Crookston, Minn. – Head men's basketball coach
Bryan Beamish announced this afternoon that the University of Minnesota Crookston will be holding a pair of camps in the month of June.
The first camp the Golden Eagles will hold is a three day camp. The 'Guard Skills' camp will run from June 12-14 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. The cost is $100 per camp participant and is from kids in grades 3-12, both boys and girls.
The camp will focus on a number of basketball fundamentals including: ball handling, passing, finishing at the rim, footwork, among other things. There will also be competitive games and competitions.
The second camp is also a three-day event and it will focus on shooting. The 'Shooting Academy' will focus on the fundamentals of shooting, footwork, form, shooting on the move and other things that go into becoming an outstanding shooter. There will also be various games and prizes as well.
The Shooting Academy camp is also for both boys and girls in grades 3-12 and it costs $100 per basketball player. The camp will run from June 19
th to the 21
st and is 10 A.M., to 12 P.M., each day.
Both camps will take place in the home of Golden Eagle men's basketball, Lysaker Gymnasium.
