Jake Dykhoff (R-Sr., Wadena, Minn.) was named NSIC Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season. The Golden Eagles have had three student-athletes earn five awards this season.
Dykhoff pitched his fourth complete game of the season in a 2-1 win over Northern State University Monday, April 24. He threw an immaculate inning in the top of the second, striking out three batters on nine pitches. Dykhoff picked up his sixth win of the season after allowing just one run on two hits and striking out 12 batters. Dykhoff has struck out 10 or more batters three times this season.
Sam Riola of St. Cloud State University was selected the NSIC Player of the Week.
Dykhoff is 6-4 with a 3.92 ERA in 10 starts this season. He has struck out 82 and walked 15.
