SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's golf team placed eighth out of eight teams at the Augustana Spring Invitational at Bakker Crossing Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Golden Eagles showed improvement on day two as they finished with a 377 after carding a 378 on day one.
Clara Hanson (So., Grand Forks, N.D.) shot an 89 in the second round.
Anaka Lysne (Fr., Wahpeton, N.D.) improved by 12 strokes on day two with an 84.
Lauren Bowyer (Fr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) shot a 99.
Tiffany Kozojed (Jr., Hillsboro, N.D.) and
Denali Johnson (So., Grand Rapids, Minn.) each shot 105's.
Augustana University won the team title with a score of 620. They edged Concordia University St. Paul by 52 strokes. Augustana's Lauren Tims edged her teammate Shannon McCormick by three strokes.
Minnesota Crookston is slated to return to action at the 2023 NSIC Women's Golf Championship April 28-30 in Smithville, Mo.
