CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston hockey program will wrap up their historic season against two-time Defending ACHA Division II National Champion University of Mary Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m., and Friday, March 3 at 4 p.m., at the Crookston Sports Center.
The Golden Eagles made their first ACHA Division II Central Regional and fell just one game short of an ACHA Division II National Tournament berth in Marlborough, Mass. UMN Crookston picked up a 3-1 win Saturday over Michigan State University, but fell 8-5 to the University of Iowa Sunday. Minnesota Crookston sits at 23-6-1 as a team. The Golden Eagles placed second in the WCCHA Northwest Division and took third place at the 2023 WCCHA Tournament.
Minnesota Crookston is paced offensively by
Logan Syrup (So., F, Park River, N.D.), with 26 goals and 32 assists. Syrup was an All-WCCHA First Team selection, and a 2023 ACHA Division II All-Central Region Third Team pick.
Jackson Fuller (So., F, Minneapolis, Minn.) has 22 goals and 30 assists. Fuller was an All-WCCHA Third Team selection.
Tyler Zahradka (Jr., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) comes in with 25 goals and 17 helpers. Zahradka was also an All-WCCHA Third Team pick.
Zach Larson (Jr., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) enters the week with 15 goals and 19 apples.
Jake Huska (Jr., D, Snow Lake, Manitoba) has 11 goals and 21 helpers. Huska is an All-WCCHA First Team pick.
In goal, UMN Crookston is propelled by
Jared Aamold (So., G, Breckenridge, Minn.), an All-WCCHA Honorable Mention selection. Aamold has a 2.66 goals against average in 14 games.
Wyatt Olsonawski (Fr., G, Hallock, Minn.) comes in with a 1.71 goals against average in four games.
Braden Schmitz (So., G, Devils Lake, N.D.) has a 2.78 goals against average, while
Jake Sumner (Jr., G, Alta Loma, Calif.) has a 2.41 goals against average.

University of Mary is getting ready to defend their National Championships, as they will begin play in Massachusetts on Friday, March 17 against Bentley University. They are in Pool C with the University of Saint Thomas, Bentley, and the University of Kentucky. The Marauders come into the weekend with a 34-6-1 mark. They last played Saturday, February 18 against Minot State University. UMary is guided by Isaiah Thomas with 20 goals and 32 assists. Johnny Witzke comes in with 17 goals and 28 assists, and is the top-scoring defenseman for the Marauders. Alexander Flicek has tallied 11 goals and 33 assists, while Caleb Petrie has 13 goals and 24 helpers.
