Larchwood, Iowa – Minnesota Crookston women's golf went from 11
th place after the first round on Monday to finish in eighth place on Tuesday at the USF Invitational hosted by the University of Sioux Falls.
 
Anaka Lysne (So., Wahpeton, N.D.) paced the Golden Eagles with an outstanding 75 on day one and 73 on day two to finish in ninth place. The 73 that Lysne shot was the third best of her career and now holds the top three spots in program history with the three lowest scores in Golden Eagle history.
 
Maggie Veenendall of Sioux Falls finished in first place, while Emerson Doyle of Missouri Southern State finished in second place.
 
As a team, Augustana won the Invitational by 14 strokes, shooting a 593 at the tournament. Northwest Missouri State and Sioux Falls rounded out the top three, while Missouri Southern State and Winona State finished in a tie for fourth.
 
Lysne was helped by a pair of birdies during the final 18 holes. 
Lauren Bowyer (So., Ivanhoe, Minn.) shot an 85 on Tuesday and was helped by seven pars on the day. 
Libby Dulmage (Fr., Leeds, N.D.) was outstanding the entire weekend. Dulmage shot a career low 84 in the first round on Monday and followed that up cutting her career low by two strokes, shooting an 82, putting her in a tie for 45
th. 
Clara Hanson (Jr., Grand Forks, N.D.) improved on her Monday score by two strokes, shooting an 81 on Tuesday. 
Lilly Mahlberg (Fr., Worthington, Minn.) improved upon her first round by five strokes on Tuesday.
 
Minnesota Crookston shot a 321 on the day, the third best in program history and the second lowest this season. The Golden Eagles shot a school record 312 earlier this season.
 
Minnesota Crookston women's golf will now continue their season heading into the spring.
