CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston western equestrian team opens up play on the 2021 season with a NCEA match against University of Tennessee at Martin Fri., Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. in Martin, Tenn.

The Golden Eagles sent four riders to the IHSA Semi Finals in 2020 before the cancellation of the rest of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. UMN Crookston returns three of those riders, Alyssa Evavold (Sr., Battle Lake, Minn.), Rae Ann Michel (Sr., Monticello, Minn.), and Savanna Weber (Jr., Silver Lake, Minn.). Minnesota Crookston has continued to build a tradition of success in the IHSA and are continuing to build it within the NCEA.

Minnesota Crookston's western team will compete in both IHSA and NCEA competitions this season. The Golden Eagles will return home Sat., Feb. 20 and Sun., Feb. 21 as they host a home show at the University Teaching and Outreach Center.
