Minnesota Crookston Hockey Travels to Jamestown Friday and Saturday

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston hockey team will hit the road Friday, November 26 and Saturday, November 27 to take on University of Jamestown at John L. Wilson Arena in Jamestown, N.D. Friday's puck drop will be 7 p.m., with Saturday commencing at 5:30 p.m.

The Golden Eagles come into the weekend with a 3-3-2 (2-2-2 WCCHA) mark. UMN Crookston is coming off a split with the University of Minnesota, ranked No. 7 in the central region. Jamestown is 3-4 on the 2021-22 season. The Golden Eagles and Jimmies played at the Crookston Sports Center Oct. 29 and 30. The Golden Eagles on Oct. 29 4-2 and fell Oct. 30 6-3.

The Golden Eagles have six points in the WCCHA standings entering this weekend. Minnesota Crookston has been led on the season by Logan Syrup (Fr., F, Park River, N.D.) with a team-high 11 assists and three goals for 14 points overall. Tyler Zahradka (So., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) leads the team with 10 goals on the season and has three assists on the year. Casey Kallock (Sr., D, Alvarado, Minn.), a 2021 ACHA Division II Second Team All-American, had four goals and eight assists. Nikolai Rajala (Fr., F, Coleraine, Minn.) comes in with five goals and eight assists for 13 points. Tristan Morneault (So., F, Dieppe, New Brunswick) enters the weekend with two goals and three assists.

In goal, UMN Crookston has utilized all four goalies this season. Braden Schmitz (Fr., G, Devils Lake, N.D.) leads the team with a 2.51 goals against average. Jared Aamold (Fr., G, Breckenridge, Minn.) comes in with a 2.97 goals against average. Jake Sumner (So., G, Alta Loma, Calif.) is coming off a win against Minnesota Saturday. He has a 5.37 goals against average on the season. Sean O'Connor (Fr., G, West Fargo, N.D.) has allowed four goals on the season.

Jamestown Preview
Jamestown enters the weekend with a 3-4 mark on the season. The Jimmies have been led on the season by Thief River Falls, Minn. native Blake Biermaier, who has five goals and five assists on the year. Christian Jarmusz comes in with four goals and two assists for the Jimmies. Joshua Hoffman has three goals and three assists for Jamestown. Braeden Thomas enters the weekend with three goals and three assists, while Ryan Kleber has two goals and three assists.

In goal, Samuel Potter leads the way for Jamestown with a 4.83 goals against average with a .859 saves percentage.
