It would be a good start for both the offensive and defensive side of things for the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Eagles would start out with a 5-0 lead, after an Ibu Jassey Demba (Jr., F, Birmingham, England) jumper and a Harrison Cleary (Sr., G, Oak Creek, Wis.) 3-point make.

Cleary would hit a three and then a layup to cut the Maverick lead to 89-87 with 14 seconds left.
After a Kevin Krieger miss on a free throw, the Mavericks would grab the rebound, but Corvon Seales would go just 1-2 from the free throw line to give the Golden Eagles some life. Shines would then bury a huge three to make it a 91-90 game, but Ryland Holt would go 2-2 from the free throw line to ice the game for the Mavericks.
The Golden Eagles finished with three in double figures, led by Cleary's 33 and Cohen and Shines had 14 and 12, respectively.
