2020-21 (Sophomore): Shines missed the majority of the 2020-21 season due to injury...He played in just two games and tallied 0.5 points and 0.5 rebounds per tilt...Shines had one point and three assists against UMary Jan. 29.

2019-20 (Freshman): Shines played in 25 games as a freshman and started two for Minnesota Crookston...He notched 6.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game...Shines dished out 13 assists and had 12 steals...He shot 33.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 83.7 percent from the charity stripe...Shines tallied 21 points against MSU Moorhead...He had 19 points versus Upper Iowa...Shines tallied 16 points versus Minot State. 

Prior to Minnesota Crookston: Shines was a 2017-18 Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) 3A/4A All-State Special Mention selection...He has lettered for four years for the Lyons Township High School basketball program...Shines was the Most Valuable Player for his team, and earned All-Conference accolades as a junior...He averaged 17.9 points per game during the 2017-18 season...Shines poured in 29 points against Glenbard West High School. He has played for Head Coach Tom Sloan for the Lions...Shines was the first freshman to ever play for Coach Sloan making his debut during the 2015-16 campaign.
