CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's tennis team is heading to Orlando, Fla., for a three-match excursion to the "Sunshine State". The Golden Eagles will take on Roosevelt University Sat., March 10, Missouri Western State University Sun., March 11, and Rockhurst University Mon., March 12.
The Golden Eagles have posted a 0-9 (0-8 NSIC) mark. Minnesota Crookston continues to show improvement in their individual matches as they continue to grow under Head Coach
Krayton Nash.
Reanne Erickson (Sr., Fargo, N.D.) has been playing No. 1 singles for the Golden Eagles. At the No. 2 spot,
Ashley Smith (Fr., Staples, Minn.) has seen the majority of the action. At No. 3 singles,
Hanna Ruckheim (Jr., Parkers Prairie, Minn.) has seen the majority of the matches.
In doubles, Erickson and Smith has been teaming up at the No. 1 slot, while Diane CIlengi (Jr., Johannesburg, South Africa) and Ruckheim have been playing No. 2 doubles.
Roosevelt is 4-3 on the 2019 season. They are a NAIA school based out of Chicago, Ill. Missouri Western State University is 7-3 on the season, the Griffons compete in Division II and are located in St. Joseph, Mo. Rockhurst University is a Division II school in Kansas City, Mo. They are 4-3 on the 2019 campaign.
