CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's tennis team heads to Duluth, Minn., for a pair of NSIC matches this weekend. The Golden Eagles take on University of Minnesota Duluth Sat., Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. Minnesota Crookston then faces St. Cloud State University Sun., Feb. 10 at 9 a.m.
Minnesota Crookston has posted an 0-1 mark on the season. Minnesota Duluth has posted a 2-0 record on the campaign. St. Cloud State is 0-1 on the 2019 slate.
Reanne Erickson (Sr., Fargo, N.D.) held down the No. 1 singles slot in the first match of the season for the Golden Eagles. In doubles, Erickson paired with
Ashley Smith (Fr., Staples, Minn.).
Diane Cilengi (Jr., Johannesburg, South Africa) and Smith each took wins in games for the Golden Eagles earlier this week against Bemidji State University.
Minnesota Duluth is paced by Megan Anderson at the No. 1 singles slot. She enters the weekend with a 2-0 mark. Euclid-native Ally Tiedemann, a former Crookston Pirate, plays No. 5 singles for the Bulldogs and is 1-1 on the season. In doubles, the No. 1 duo of Anderson and Elsa Erickson has posted a 1-1 mark.
St. Cloud State looks to Fernanda Morais Quintino dos Santos at the No. 1 singles spot, where she is 0-1 on the 2019 campaign. Olivia Fredrickson is 1-0 for the Huskies at No. 5 singles. In doubles, the No. 1 pair of Quintino dos Santos and Jill Kedrowski is 1-0 on the season.
