CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team will host Northern State University in a pair of mid-week games Wed., April 25 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. at UMC Baseball Field. The Golden Eagles have six games remaining in a 16-game home stand in Crookston, Minn.
The Golden Eagles enter the week with an 18-23 (4-18 NSIC) record. Minnesota Crookston is coming off a split on the weekend with Upper Iowa University. The Golden Eagles are looking to reach 20 or more wins for the third-consecutive season, which would be a first in program history. Minnesota Crookston has 10 conference games remaining on the 2018 season and 14 games overall left on the slate. The Golden Eagles are currently in 13
th place in the NSIC standings.
Northern State comes into Crookston with a 13-15 (6-10 NSIC) mark. The Wolves are currently in 11

Hunter Baldwin (R-So., DH, St. Thomas, N.D.) is coming off a huge weekend for Minnesota Crookston. Baldwin had a walk-off three-run home run Saturday as the Golden Eagles bested Upper Iowa. Baldwin is hitting .303 on the season with five runs scored, one double, two home runs and nine RBIs.
On the bump, the Golden Eagles are led by one of the best closers in the nation in
Zach Seipel (Jr., RHP, Eagan, Minn.). Seipel is 2-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 29.0 innings pitched with a league-best seven saves. He has posted 46 strikeouts and 16 walks.
Parker Hanson (Jr., RHP, Hawley, Minn.) returned in relief last weekend after missing nearly a month on the mound. Hanson is 1-5 with a 3.80 ERA in 42.2 innings pitched.
