CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis program is set to host a pair of matches Sat., Feb. 10 and Sun., Feb. 11 at Choice Health & Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D. The Golden Eagles will take on Winona State University Sat., Feb. 10 at 12 p.m. and Upper Iowa University Sun., Feb. 11 at 7:30 a.m.
Minnesota Crookston comes into the weekend with a 0-1 mark on the season. The Golden Eagles look to
Whitney Erickson (Sr., Spring Valley, Minn.) at the No. 1 slot. Erickson was competitive in moments last weekend at Bemidji State University. She will look to continue to improve heading into the weekend.
Reanne Erickson (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) plays No. 2 singles for the Golden Eagles. Erickson put up a fight against Bemidji State and will look to continue to improve.

Whitney Erickson return for Minnesota Crookston. The pair lost their opening match last weekend against Bemidji State.
Winona State enters with a 1-2 mark after their fall matches. They will open their 2018 spring season this weekend. The Warriors return Tayla Card, who posted a 5-8 mark at No. 5 singles and a combined 7-0 at No. 4 and No. 6 last season. At No. 1 singles, Kaisey Skibba is back after going 8-12 at No. 1 singles last season. In doubles, the No. 1 pair of Skibba and Justine Daane returns after posting a 7-5 record last season.
Upper Iowa is 0-1 this season after falling to University of Illinois-Springfield Feb. 3. Shakhnaza Zhanatova leads the Peacocks at No. 1 singles, while Anna Okolot occupies the No. 2 slot. In doubles, Okolot and Zhanatova team up for No. 1 doubles. All players are currently 0-1 after falling 9-0 to Illinois-Springfield.
