Minnesota Crookston is fresh off a strong exhibition performance against NCAA Division I foe University of North Dakota Tuesday. The Golden Eagles hung with the Fighting Hawks for the final three quarters tying UND 47-47. It was the first quarter where UND was hot from the field that made the difference. The Fighting Hawks outscored the Golden Eagles 27-11.

The Golden Eagles shot well from beyond the arc as they went 7-of-19 for 36.8 percent. Minnesota Crookston was 19-of-53 from the field. Their effort was highlighted by the play of Abby Guidinger (So., G/F, Waukesha, Wis.), who tallied 15 points on 6-of-13 from the field and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Guidinger displayed signs of her potential in the final 14 games of last season as she tallied 12.4 points per game.

In addition, Isieoma Odor (R-Sr., F/C, Bloomington, Minn.) notched a double-double of 11 points and 10 boards as she overcame a tough defense that includes going against 2017-18 All-Big Sky First Team pick Lexi Klabo. UND is one of the tallest teams the Golden Eagles will face all year as they go 6-2, 6-3, 6-3, 6-5 in their post rotation.

Paige Weakley (Jr., G/F, Kearney, Mo.) had a strong shooting night Tuesday as she was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for nine points. Freshman Kylie Post (G, Corcoran, Minn.) had a strong debut for Minnesota Crookston. Post showed her finishing ability at the rim, along with her energy, and her quickness to help set up the Golden Eagle offense. Post finished with 10 points, four boards, and two assists.
