Crookston, Minn.—The University of Minnesota Crookston women's soccer team gets set for two more NSIC matches this weekend against Augustana University, and Wayne State College.
Minnesota Crookston will look to rebound from two losses last weekend at home, where they were defeated by Minnesota State University-Mankato, 8-0, and Concordia University, St. Paul, 2-0.
The Golden Eagles sit at 1-11-2 overall, and 1-8-2 in the NSIC.
Offensively, the Golden Eagles will look to
Vanessa Shelton (So. Tacoma, Wash.),
Lindsey Daml (Jr. North Pole, Alaska), and
Jessica Withrow (So. Gardnerville, Nev.), who each have one goal on the season.
Defensively,
Jessica Scott (Sr. Post Falls, Idaho),
Paige Pettit (Jr. St. Michael, Minn.), and
Mataya Mierzejewski (Fr. Woodbury, Minn.) have been solid on the back line for head coach
Joe Alianiello and his squad.
Athena DiMario Done (So. Windsor, Ontario) will look to continue her momentum, and continue to stymie offenses. On Sunday afternoon against Concordia University-St. Paul, DiMario Done made eight saves to keep the Golden Eagles in that game until the very end.

The Vikings, coached by Brandon Barkus, come into the penultimate week of the season at 9-3-2 overall, and stand in third place in the Northern Sun.
Augie is led offensively by Alexis Legg, who leads the team with 17 points, and eight goals on 26 shots. Legg also has three game winning goals to her credit on the season. Julie Plonsky, Rebekah Thoreson and Reiley Klose are also threats offensively.
In goal Claudia Peuschner has started in 12 games for Augustana. On the season, Peuschner has allowed just eight goals on the season, and a goals against average of 0.63. The Viking goalkeeper has seven shutouts on the season.
The Golden Eagles have been a thorn in the Vikings side since 2012. Since 2012, Minnesota Crookston has just one win, that coming in 2014, but the Golden Eagles' worst loss to the Vikings came in 2013, 2-0. Minnesota Crookston will hope that the strong play from the previous year's carries into 2018.

The Wildcats are coached by Joe Cleary. Cleary is heading into his second full season at the helm of WSC. Last season, Cleary led the Wildcats to a four win season.
Rylie Wehner, Christina Stasi and Sophia Ketchmark each have six points apiece to lead the Wildcats in points on the season. Wehner has put the ball in the back of the net three times, while Stasi and Ketchmark each have two goals.
Expect Allysa Bagley to get the start in net for Wayne State. Bagley has made nine starts on the season, allowing 11 goals, while giving up 1.25 goals per game on the season. Bagley has shutout opponents four times in 2018.
The second half of games has not been kind to the Wildcats. They have been outscore 10-5 in the last half of the game this season, so the Golden Eagles could find some magic in the last 45 minutes Sunday afternoon.
