Golden Eagles Close Out 2016 With Conference Win Against Upper Iowa 72-68

FAYETTE, Iowa – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team ended 2016 on a great note as they came away with a 72-68 win over Upper Iowa University on the road at Dorman Gymnasium. UMC would come up with big shots down the stretch as they would hold off a big fourth quarter by the Peacocks. Upper Iowa would out-score the Golden Eagles 24-20 but it wouldn't be enough to squash big second and third quarters for UMC as they bested the Peacocks 37-28 in those frames.

The Peacocks would use a 10-0 run culminating in an Ofstad bucket to cut the UMC lead to 55-54.
