CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston volleyball team will wrap up their 2016 home slate Fri., Nov. 4 and Sat., Nov. 5. The Golden Eagles will take on Upper Iowa University on Friday at 5 p.m. and No. 6 Winona State University on Saturday at 4 p.m. 

This weekend, the Golden Eagles will hold Parent's Day on Friday and will have Senior Day on Saturday. UMC will honor their three seniors Sierra Trost (Sr., S, Ham Lake, Minn.), Kali Erickson (Sr., OH, Fargo, N.D.) and Casey Cashman (Sr., DS, Ashland, Wis.) and everything they have done for the program. In addition, Friday will also be Alzheimer's Awareness Night hosted by Trost's Non-Profit Organization "Forget Me Not". 

Minnesota Crookston
The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 9-15 (5-11 NSIC) mark. UMC is coming off a four-game losing streak with their last win coming Oct. 18 over Bemidji State University. Minnesota Crookston is in 11^th place, tied with Upper Iowa who they will play Friday. 

Minnesota Crookston has been led by Maggie Perrel (R-Jr., OH, New Germany, Minn.), who has been out recently with an injury. Perrel enters the weekend averaging 3.42 kills per set and 2.53 digs per set. In her absence, Kassi Green (R-Jr., OH, Anoka, Minn.) has had to make a bigger role. She is averaging 2.64 kills per set this season, while her twin sister Kelci Green (R-Jr., MH, Anoka, Minn.) is averaging 2.19 kills per set.

At setter, Sierra Trost (Sr., S, Ham Lake, Minn.) is on the verge of moving past Cassie Yates for No. 2 all-time in assists. Trost needs just 36 assists to achieve the mark. She comes into the weekend averaging 9.79 assists per set.

Defensively, UMC looks to Ali Schueler (R-Fr., Lib., Howards Grove, Wis.), who is averaging 3.92 digs per set. On the block, Kelci Green (R-Jr., MH, Anoka, Minn.) is averaging 0.72 blocks per set.

Upper Iowa
The Peacocks enter the weekend with an 11-14 (5-11 NSIC) mark. Upper Iowa is coming off back-to-back wins over Minot State University and University of Mary.

Upper Iowa has been led by Haley Weepie, who has come on as of late for the Peacocks. Weepie is averaging 2.54 kills per set. Alisha VanderWoude enters the weekend averaging 2.14 kills per set and is hitting .291, while outside hitter Chelsea Berry is tallying 2.08 kills per set.

At setter, Malissa LeClaire has been the starter in Upper Iowa's 6-2 system. LeClaire is averaging 5.57 assists per set, while Carlee Ketchum is tallying 3.74 assists per set. 

Defensively, libero Ashley Larson leads the way for Upper Iowa with 4.02 digs per set. Kelsey Hinrichs is averaging 2.75 digs per set, while Ketchum is tallying 2.41 digs per set. 

Winona State
Winona State comes in with a No. 6 national ranking. The Warriors have been led by outside hitter Taylor Goar's 3.84 kills per set. Goar is hitting .225 for the season. Lauren Kudronowicz comes in averaging 2.73 kills per set and is hitting .365. Outside hitter Danielle Rampart is averaging 3.19 kills per set and hitting .274 for the season.

At setter, McKenna Larsen leads the way for Winona State with 11.90 assists per set.

Defensively, Winona State has looked to Jamie Cairncross' 5.15 digs per set, while Rampart is tallying 3.75 digs per set and Goar is averaging 3.44 digs per set.
