CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team will host three matches March 27-29 at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D. The Golden Eagles will take on University of Mary at 5:30 p.m. March 27. UMC will then take on Minnesota State University Moorhead at 2 p.m. March 28 and will wrap up the weekend March 29 at 3:30 p.m. against Bemidji State University.
The Golden Eagles come into the weekend with a 0-10 mark. UMC has been led by
Catherine Brown (Jr., Powell Butte, Ore./Animal Science), who is 4-6 at No. 1 singles.
Whitney Erickson (Fr., Spring Valley, Minn./Early Childhood Education) is 1-9 at No. 2 singles.
In doubles, Brown and Erickson enter the weekend with a 2-7 mark.
U-Mary enters Friday with a 2-9 mark on the season with wins over University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State University. The Marauders have been led by Catherine Gibbens, who is 2-2 at the No. 1 singles spot and Courtney Brackin, who is 4-2 at No. 6 singles. In doubles, the o. 3 duo of Anastasia Bruss and Kate O'Connell come in with a 2-5 record.
MSU Moorhead has a 5-5 overall mark on the year. The Dragons have been led by Andrea Rognlien, who is 3-4 at No. 1 singles. Jessamy Jones currently owns a 4-0 mark at No. 3 singles. In doubles, the No. 2 duo of Rebecca Lukes and Rognlien is 4-3.
Bemidji State is 1-7 on the season with their lone win coming March 1 over Golden Eagles. The Beavers are led by Shaylin Prout, who is 4-4 at No. 1 singles. In doubles, the No. 3 duo of Sabrina Okeson and Justine Scheller is 3-4 on the season.
