Box Score CROOKSTON, Minn.–  The University of Minnesota Crookston volleyball team will take on Bemidji State University in their "Dig Pink" match Tues., Oct. 28. The Golden Eagle players will be wearing pink jerseys for the game and proceeds will be taken to benefit Breast Cancer Research.

Minnesota Crookston comes into Tuesday with a 10-13 (4-10 NSIC) mark. The Golden Eagles have been led by Brittany Looker (Sr., OH, Rochester, Minn./Health Science), who continues to lead the NSIC in kills per set with a 4.24 average. Looker has also been among the NCAA leaders for kills and points per set this season. In addition to Looker, right side hitter Kassi Green (R-Fr., RS, Anoka, Minn./Elementary Education), comes in averaging 1.93 kills and 0.64 blocks per set. In addition, Kelci Green (R-Fr., MH, Anoka, Minn./Biology) has been rapidly improving this season and is averaging 1.30 kills and 1.00 block per set.

Defensively, Mary Mikutowski (Sr., Lib., Rochester, Minn./Health Science) is averaging 4.8 digs per set over the last seven matches for the Golden Eagles. Mikutowski is averaging 3.95 dig per set this season.

The Golden Eagles split last weekend with a 3-0 win at the University of Mary and a 3-2 loss to Minot State University Saturday.

Bemidji State comes into the season with a 5-18 mark and a 3-12 NSIC record. The Beavers have been led by Jessica Yost, who is averaging 3.14 kills per set and 1.92 digs per set. In addition, Amanda Tronick is averaging 2.30 kills per set. In addition, middle blocker Rachel Craig comes ina veraging 2.22 kills per set and 0.96 blocks per set.

At setter, Courtney Volkmann comes in averaging 8.86 assists per set, while libero Kayla DeJong comes in averaging 4.29 digs per set.

Bemidji State is in their fifth season under Head Coach Wayne Chadwick.

UMC defeated the Beavers 3-0 earlier this season in Bemidji, Minn. The Golden Eagles were led by Looker's 23 kills in that match, while Kassi Green added 11. BSU's top performer was Amanda Tronick, who tallied 12 kills in the first match between the two opponents.
