BISMARCK, N.D. –  The University of Minnesota Crookston volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-22) win over University of Mary Friday at the McDowell Activity Center in Bismarck, N.D. The Golden Eagles improve to 10-12 (4-10 NSIC) with Friday's win over the Marauders. U-Mary falls to 4-19 (1-13 NSIC) with the loss.

The Golden Eagles were led by Brittany Looker (Sr., OH, Rochester, Minn./Health Science), who tallied 15 kills and hit .257 for the match. Looker completed a double-double with 10 digs on the night. In addition to Looker, Stephanie Pearson (Jr., OH, Frankfort, Ill./Accounting) put together one of her strongest matches of the season with eight kills and a .538 hitting poercentage. Kassi Green (R-Fr., RS, Anoka, Minn;./Elementary Education) added eight kills and hit .250.

The Golden Eagles finished the match hitting .274 with 38 kills and 15 errors. At setter, UMC was led by Sierra Trost's (So., Ham Lake, Minn.) 17 assists.

Defensively, Looker led the way with 10 digs while Pearson added eight. On the block, the twin duo of Kassi and Kelci Green (R-Fr., MH, Anoka, Minn./Biology) led the way. Kelci Green had two solo blocks and five block assists, while Kassi Green had one solo block and three block assists.

U-Mary hit just .113 with 38 kills and 27 errors on the night. The Marauders were led by 11 kills from Lauren Randall, while Lauren Boldt added nine kills. Janell Finkbeiner led the way with 27 assists. Defensively, U-Mary looked to six digs apiece from Alex Brown and Casey Reamann.

The Golden Eagles will take on Minot State University at 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 25 as they look to build on their win total.
