Minot State was willed by an amazing showing as Carly Boag would finish with 33 points and 20 boards for the game while shooting 11-of-17 from the field and 11-of-13 from the charity stripe. Molina chipped in nine points for the Beavers, who finished Saturday shooting 23-of-62 from the field for 37.1 percent and 4-of-15 for 26.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Minot State would respond with a run of their own close to within three points (29-26) with 3:23 remaining in the first period. After a Martell three, the Beavers would find a way to knot the game at 32-32 after a Boag lay-up with 1:37 left in the first half. A Martell trey and an
Erika McRoberts (Fr., F/C, Byron, Minn.) lay-up would close out the first half on a 5-0 run as UMC would lead 37-32 going into the locker room.
In the second half, the Golden Eagles would come out with some fire as they would take a 10-point lead at the 15:30 mark following a 7-2 run to open the period. Minot State would close to within three points (48-45) after a Molina three-pointer at the 11:51 mark.
The Golden Eagles would take control back though as they would get back up by seven points (60-53) after two Tyson free throws at the 6:06 mark. But that is where the wheels fell off as the Golden Eagles would score only three points in the next four minutes. Minot State took advantage led by five points from Boag as they cut the lead down to one (63-62) with 2:40 remaining.
Laurie Tyson's lay-up at the 2:17 mark would put UMC up three (65-62) with 2:17 remaining. However, the Beavers would cut it back down to one after Boag made a pair of free throws with 1:55 left in the game.
After a 30-second timeout, Minot State's Molina made a lay-up with 40 seconds remaining in the game to put the Beavers ahead 66-65. With 21 seconds remaining, Wiese penetrated the lane and went for the lay-up but Boag came up with the block. Tyson grabbed the offensive board and was fouled by Lauren Safranski. Tyson had a chance to win the game with two shots at the charity stripe but missed both.
Ebony Livingston (So., G, Minneapolis, Minn.) fouled late to send Boag to the line where she made one-of-two to make it 67-65 going into the final seconds. UMC was unable to get a bucket as they would lose 67-65 to Minot State.
The Golden Eagles will return to action as they will play their final home games next weekend against University of Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State University. The games will mark the final home contests for the careers of Wiese, Tyson and
Carli Bunning (Sr., F, Boone, Iowa).
