(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Tennis team dropped a pair of matches today at Center Court Fitness Center in Grand Forks, N.D.

The University of Mary (U-Mary) defeated the Golden Eagles 6-3 in a non-conference match. Amada Pihlaja (So, Duluth, Minn.) won 6-2, 6-3 over U-Mary's Ashley Tuschling. In double action, Pihlaja and Cassie Jarvis (Sr, Sleepy Eye, Minn.) defeated U-Mary's Megan Bosch and Rachel Phelps 9-8. Casey Paris (So, Fairmont, Minn.) and Holly Roepke (Jr, Osage, Minn.) defeated U-Mary's Tuschling and Rachel Brown 8-6.

In their second match, Minnesota State University defeated the Golden Eagles 9-0 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match.

U of M, Crookston falls to 2-8 overall and 1-7 in the NSIC. They return to NSIC action on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 when they play the University of Mary and Winona State University in Bismarck, N.D. Matches begin at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
