Golden Eagle Women’s Tennis Team Returns Home for Two NSIC Matches

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Tennis team returns home for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches on Saturday, March 31 against the University of Mary (U-Mary) and Minnesota State University (MSU) at Center Court Fitness Center in Grand Forks, N.D. Matches begins at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively.

U of M, Crookston split a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches Friday night in Sartell, Minn. St. Cloud State University defeated the Golden Eagles 9-0 in the first match. U of M, Crookston then rebounded to gain their first NSIC victory of the season defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 5-4. The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 2-6 and NSIC record of 1-6.
Amanda Pihlaja (So, Duluth, Minn.) has a 3-5 record in singles matches. She and Cassie Jarvis (Sr, Sleepy Eye, Minn.) also have a 3-5 record in double matches. Holly Roepke (Jr, Osage, Minn.) and Casey Paris (So, Fairmont, Minn.) have 2-6 record in singles matches. They have a 3-5 record in doubles matches.

Golden Eagles vs. University of Mary        Saturday, March 31        12 p.m.

The Marauders have an overall record of 2-11 and NSIC record of 1-6 after dropping a 7-2 decision to Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday.

Golden Eagles vs. Minnesota State University    Saturday, March 31        6 p.m.

The Mavericks have an overall record of 7-8 and NSIC record of 5-2 after dropping a 7-2 decision to Winona  State University and defeating Bemidji State University 9-0 on Saturday. Shealyn Bakke is 9-6 in singles matches. Joey Bosch and Laura May are 4-1 in doubles matches.
