(Duluth, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Volleyball team headed on the road to play the University of Minnesota Duluth this evening in an NSIC match. UMD used the home court advantage and a solid attack percentage to sweep UMC 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-17).
Alexandra Skeeter (OH, 5-10, So., Milwaukee, Wis.) led the Golden Eagle offense with six kills. Setter
Kelsey Matykowski (S, 5-7, Jr., Sun Prairie, Wis.) assisted on 16 Minnesota, Crookston kills.
Amanda Swann (OH, 6-0, Jr., Rochester, Mich.) led the Golden Eagles on the defensive side of the ball with 10 defensive digs.
Minnesota Duluth was led by Kate Lange who tallied a match-high 17 kills. Eleena Iisakka led all players with 29 assists while Julie Rainey earned 15 digs.
The Golden Eagles are 4-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. Minnesota Duluth moves to 10-0 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. Minnesota, Crookston returns to the court tomorrow to play Bemidji State. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
