(Bismarck, N.D.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Volleyball closed out the NSIC weekend with a road game at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. The Golden Eagles recorded their fourth highest team attack percentage of the season finishing at .299 (46K-14E-107TA) in a dominating 3-0 sweep of the Marauders 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.
The duo of
Brittany Looker (OH, 5-10, Fr., Rochester, Minn.) and
Amanda Swann (OH, 6-0, Jr., Rochester, Mich.) led all players with 13 and 11 kills respectively. Swann also finished with her highest attack percentage of the season at .500 (11K-1E-20TA). Setter
Paige Mitchell (S, 5-11, So., West Palm Beach, Fla.) tied a match-high with 20 assists and recorded a match-high with three service aces. Libero
Chelsea Wiesner (DS, 5-8, So., Rochester, Minn.) led all players with 20 defensive digs in the contest.
Mary was led by Lauren Boldt who tallied nine kills. Emily Turkowsky finished with 20 assists while Valerie Lesu earned 16 defensive digs.
Minnesota, Crookston is 8-10 overall this season and 3-6 in conference play. Mary falls to 2-17 overall and 1-8 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles return to the court on Tuesday, October 11 to take Northern State at home. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Lysaker Gymnasium.
