CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team is set for their final regular-season series of the season, as they head to Sioux Falls, S.D., to face Augustana University Friday, May 1 at 4 and 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m.

The Golden Eagles enter the final weekend of the regular season with a 25-21 (18-16 NSIC) mark. Minnesota Crookston has reached over 20 wins for the eighth time in the last 10 seasons. The Golden Eagles have tallied 25 or more wins six times in the last 10 years. Minnesota Crookston is currently seventh in the NSIC standings, with the top eight making the NSIC Tournament. If the Golden Eagles can take one from Augustana this weekend, and avoid a St. Cloud State sweep of UMary they will make the NSIC Tournament for the fourth-straight year. If they lose all three, they can still make it in if St. Cloud State only wins one, and Minnesota Duluth is held to one win against Minnesota State. Minnesota Crookston is seeking their fourth-straight NSIC Tournament for the first time in program history.

Augustana is second in the NSIC with a 35-12 (28-6 NSIC) record. The Vikings have a seven-game winning streak entering the weekend. Minnesota Crookston is 4-3 in their last seven games against the Vikings, including 4-2 in regular-season games. They fell 4-2 in the NSIC Tournament at The Birdcage in Sioux Falls, S.D. last season after posting a 2-2 mark in the regular season versus the Vikings.
