CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team concludes the regular season Saturday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m., at BSU Gymnasium against Bemidji State University.

The Golden Eagles enter the game with an 8-19 (7-14 NSIC) mark. Minnesota Crookston has clinched an NSIC Tournament berth, for the third time in four seasons as even if they lose Saturday, they hold the tiebreaker over Augustana University with a win January 17 over the Vikings. They will either head to Southwest Minnesota State or Winona State in the first round next Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles are guided by the NSIC's all-time leading scorer Emma Miller (Sr., G, Albertville, Minn.). Miller has 1,667 career conference points, and 2,185 career points overall. She comes in averaging 19.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Miller shoots 38.9 percent from the field, and 29.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Minnesota Crookston is averaging 68.1 points per game, and allowing 76.2 points per game to their foes. The Golden Eagles are shooting 40.7 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.5 percent from the line. They are being outrebounded 40.2-33.1, and are averaging 14.8 turnovers per game.

A key to Minnesota Crookston's success of late has been the play of Rayna Klejeski (Jr., F, Barnum, Minn.) in the post. She is averaging 12.3 points and 6.2 boards per game. Klejeski has nine-straight double-digit scoring tilts.

In addition, Anna Westby (Fr., F, Eveleth, Minn.) is tallying 10.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in her debut campaign. Westby has 71 blocked shots, and needs 10 to surpass Nicole Hernandez for the single-season mark. Riley Jenkins (R-Jr., G/F, Galesburg, Ill.) is notching 10.7 points and 3.9 boards per game.

The Golden Eagles are 5-2 in the last seven games with the Beavers. Bemidji State won the meeting earlier this season with an 86-76 win in Crookston. The last win for the Beavers over the Golden Eagles in Bemidji came with a 70-48 win January 2, 2022.

Bemidji State has an 8-17 (5-16 NSIC) mark. They are on a seven-game losing streak entering the final tilt of the season. They are 1-10 in their last 11 games, boasting a 4-5 conference mark prior to a tough stretch.

The Beavers are averaging 63.8 points per game, and are allowing 71.4 points per tilt. They come in shooting 38.8 percent from the field, and 30.1 percent from distance. They are hitting at a 77.9 percent clip from the stripe. The Beavers are guided by Kassandra Caron, who is averaging 15.5 points and 5.1 boards per game. Caron missed a stretch of games before returning Thursday against MSU Moorhead, and tallying six points.

Evyn Eppinga comes in notching 13.7 points and 3.5 boards per game. She is shooting 40.6 percent from the field, and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. Tieryn Plasch comes in averaging 10.7 points and 3.6 boards per game, including 34.4 percent from deep.
