Minnesota Crookston Set to Host Minot State and UMary Thursday and Saturday

• THE MINNESOTA CROOKSTON women's basketball team is coming off two wins at Northern State and Jamestown, as they return home for a three-game home stand. The Golden Eagles will play Minot State University Thursday, February 12 at 5:30 p.m., and UMary Saturday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m. Minnesota Crookston enters with a 7-17 (6-12 NSIC) mark. They are two wins away from their wins mark in 2024-25 and one conference win away from last season's total. The Golden Eagles are currently tied with Augustana for 12th place in the NSIC standings, as they battle for the final spots in the NSIC Tournament. Minnesota Crookston is averaging 69.0 points per game, while allowing 76.8 to their foes. They are shooting 41.2 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.8 percent from the stripe. The Golden Eagles are being outrebounded 40.5-33.2. They come in with 11.3 assists per game to 15.0 turnovers per game.

• CLOSING IN. Emma Miller, the 5-1 senior from Albertville, Minn., has made a name for herself in the NSIC, regionally, and nationally. The two-time All-NSIC First Team selection, and All-Region honoree, set the Minnesota Crookston scoring record earlier this season. She is now moving up the charts in the NSIC record books. Miller moved her way to number two on the charts in the NSIC, surpassing Concordia-St. Paul's Anna Schmitt. Miller has 1,603 points in conference play. She needs 13 points to surpass UMD's Brooke Olson for the scoring record. Olson had 1,615 points in five seasons, including the COVID season. Miller needs to average just 3.3 points per game in the last four games to reach the mark. In her career, Miller is the first person in school history to surpass 2,000 points. She currently has 2,121 career points. She comes into the week averaging 19.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. Her assists mark is the highest she has ever averaged in her career. She comes in shooting 39.2 percent from the field, 28.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 82.2 percent from the stripe.

• WATCH OUT FOR WESTBY. Anna Westby, a freshman from Eveleth, Minn., has been a key player for the Golden Eagles, and has really come into her own this season. Westby is a factor both offensively and defensively. She comes in tallying 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game. Westby is closing in on the single-season blocks record set by Nicole
Hernandez with 80 last season. She needs 15 blocked shots or an average of 3.8 blocked shots per game. Westby is shooting 43.8 percent from the field, and 37.3 percent from distance. She is a 75.7 percent shooter from the stripe. Westby is coming off 16 points on 7-of-12 from the field versus Jamestown. She had five blocked shots against the Jimmies

• FIRE AND RAYNA. Rayna Klejeski, a six-foot junior from Barnum, Minn., has been a key piece for the Golden Eagles in the post as she has made substantial improvement in her third season in the program. Klejeski has been one of the most consistent performers for Minnesota Crookston in 2025-26. She has 16 games with double-digit scoring. Klejeski was named a member of the NSIC Shining Five for her performance last weekend. She has six-consecutive games with double-digit scoring. In the last six games, Klejeski is averaging 16.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. She had a double-double of 21 points and 13 boards last week against Northern State. Klejeski is notching 12.4 points and 6.3 boards per game. She is shooting 51.8 percent from the field, and 52.9 percent from beyond the arc.

• JENKINS JOTTINGS. Riley Jenkins, a 5-10 wing from Galesburg, Ill., was a All-NSIC Second Team selection last season, and continues to be an important player for the Golden Eagles during the 2025-26 season. Jenkins is averaging 11.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. She is shooting 41.4 percent from the field, and 37.0 percent from beyond the arc. Jenkins is a 76.5 percent shooter from the line. Jenkins is coming off one of her best weekends of the season, averaging 18.0 points per game. She tallied 18 in both games against Northern State and Jamestown. She was a combined 13-of-22 from the field, and 5-of-11 from beyond the arc.

• EARNING HER STARTS. Sophomore guard Halle Winjum, a Crookston-native, is a player who gives high effort every time she is on the court and does a lot of the little things. Winjum comes in averaging 4.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Winjum is shooting 38.2 percent from the field, and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. Winjum averaged 6.0 points and 4.5 rebounds last weekend in wins over Northern State and Jamestown.

• BACK HOME. The Golden Eagles will host three of their last four games this season at home at Gary Senske Court at Lysaker Gymnasium. Minnesota Crookston is 4-7 at home this season. Their last home win came with a 93-70 result over
Augustana January 17.

• CONFERENCE PLAY. The Golden Eagles are 6-12 in NSIC games this season. They are currently tied for 12th in the overall standings, and sit in sixth in the NSIC North. Minnesota Crookston is battling for one of the last spots in the NSICTournament as they head into their final four games. The Golden Eagles finished with a 7-15 conference mark last season.

• AGAINST MINOT STATE  Minnesota Crookston has a 12-12 mark all-time against Minot State entering this week. The Beavers have the last two wins in the series. In the last seven meetings, the Golden Eagles are 4-3. Minnesota Crookston's last win over Minot State in Crookston was a 67-54 result November 21, 2023. They last won in Minot November 26, 2024 with a 70-63 win. The Golden Eagles are 8-3 all-time against the Beavers at home.

• AGAINST UMARY. Minnesota Crookston is 10-26 all-time against UMary. The Marauders have captured the last five wins in the series. The Golden Eagles last win came at home over UMary December 31, 2022 with a 78-64 win. The Golden Eagles are 5-13 at home versus the Marauders. They are 3-5 at home against UMary since 2017. 


MINOT STATE. Minot State comes into the weekend with a 10-15 (7-11 NSIC) record. The Beavers are 1-3 in their last four games. They split last week with a win over Bemidji State, and a loss to Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers are fifth in the NSIC North and are tied for ninth in the overall standings. Minot State is tallying 69.8 points per game, and allowing 71.5 points per tilt to their foes. They are shooting 43.6 percent from the field, and 33.8 from beyond the arc. The
Beavers are hitting at a 75.0 percent clip from the stripe. They are being outrebounded 38.7-32.1. They are averaging 11.4 assists to 14.8 turnovers per game.

NDSU TRANSFER.  North Dakota State transfer Taryn Hamling leads the Beavers averaging 16.5 points pre game. She is also tallying 3.5 rebounds per game. Hamling is shooting 43.8 percent from the field, and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc. She is an 85.0 percent shooter from the line. Hamling had 22 points in her last game against Minnesota Duluth.

MORE ABOUT MAYA. Maya Aguilar, a 5-9 junior guard, is averaging 11.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. She is shooting 42.5 percent from the field, and 37.8 percent from beyond the arc. Aguilar averaged 12.0 points and 5.0
rebounds per game yesterday. Going 6-of-15 from beyond the arc. She should be a major factor Thursday.

GIVE ME SOME MOGEN. Jessica Mogen, a 5-9 guard, leads the Minot State offense with 77 assists for an average of 3.1 assists per game. Mogen comes in averaging 10.5 points per game. She isn't much of a threat from deep, only hitting six threes on 41 attempts for 14.6 percent. Mogen is shooting 46.8 percent from the field. She gets to the line the most of any Minot State player with 81 attempts for an average of 3.24 times per game.

UMARY. UMARY has had a strong season with a 20-7 (13-5 NSIC) mark. They are currently second in the NSIC North and they are tied for third in the overall standings. The Marauders are 5-1 in their last six games. They fell 83-69 to Concordia-St. Paul January 31, but won their last two games. UMary is averaging 76.5 points per game, and allowing 68.7 points per tilt to their foes. They are shooting 44.3 percent from the field, 36.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 79.0 percent from the stripe. They are outrebounding squad 38.0-35.0. They are averaging 16.1 assists to 14.7 turnovers per game.

WHAT IS KINNEBREWING. Bergan Kinnebrew leads the way for the Marauders, averaging 22.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. Kinnebrew is shooting 46.2 percent from the field, and 34.8 percent from beyond the arc. She finds a way to get to the line, shooting 87.9 percent from the stripe on 231 attempts. Kinnebrew gets to the line 9.24 times per game.

UNDLIN UNDERNEATH. Allison Undlin, a 6-3 center, guides the post for UMary. She is averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Undlin hits at an impressive 60.5 percent clip. She is shooting 47.8 percent from beyond the arc on 46 attempts. Undlin has scored in double digits in 18-straight games. She had 21 points against Bemidji State.

JAENKE FROM TREY. Emily Jaenke was a major threat in UMary's win over the Golden Eagles earlier this season, scoring 22 points on 8-of-14 from the field and 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. Jaenke is averaging 7.4 points per game, and is shooting 44.4 percent from beyond the arc. Over 70 percent of her shots come from deep.
