Crookston, Minn. - Golden Eagles cross country is back and the team is heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to compete in the Augustana University Twilight. The Women's Cross Country program will be welcoming in six new runners this year, with each of them set to make their Golden Eagle debut this Friday, September 5th at 8:30 p.m.

Last year at the Augustana Twilight, the Golden Eagles placed 17th out of 20 teams. Madison Hilliard (Sr., Jacksonville, N.C.) was the top Golden Eagles runner that is returning to the team this year, finishing with a time of 19:15.91. Eva Robinson (So., Cavalier, N.D.) finished at 21:24.95.Â

Returning to the team this year are: Grace Alwardt (Jr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.) who had her top time in 2024 at the NSIC Championship with a time of 23:59.7, Alwardt did not run a 5k in 2024, Madison Hilliard, whose top 5k time in 2024 was 19:16.0 at the Augustana Twilight, Caroline Kuehne (So., Long Prairie, Minn.) with a top 6k time of 22:51.9 at the NSIC Championship, Eva Robinson with a top 5k of 21:24.95 at the Augustana Twilight, and Emma Williams (Jr., Nashwauk, Minn.) who had her top 6k time at Central Regional Championship with 26:03.4.

Following the Augustana Twilight, the Golden Eagles will be off for two weeks. Their next meet will be the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday, September 19th in Minneapolis, Minn.
