BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston had 42 student-athletes named to the 2025 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Spring All-Academic Teams as announced by the conference office. The NSIC had 919 student-athletes earn NSIC Spring All-Academic honors. Minnesota Crookston improved their previous record for spring student-athletes honored from 39 in 2024. The Golden Eagles had 76 student-athletes receive NSIC All-Academic recognition during the 2024-25 athletic season. The Golden Eagles increased their honorees from 2023-24 to 2024-25 by eight as 68 student-athletes received the recognition last season.

The Golden Eagles had 25 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, and 17 receive NSIC All-Academic honors. 

To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.

The Golden Eagle baseball team had 17 honorees of 27 eligible, including nine named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. The Minnesota Crookston men's golf squad had four of six eligible honored, including two selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. The women's golf squad had six of seven eligible earn recognition, including four on the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. The Golden Eagle softball program had 11 honored out of 13 eligible, including seven on the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. The Minnesota Crookston tennis squad had four of six eligible honored, including three on the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. In all, Minnesota Crookston's spring sports had 71.2 percent of their student-athletes honored on a NSIC Spring All-Academic squad.
