The Golden Eagles are looking to build off their momentum after an 8th-place finish in their last tournament. Next up, they'll head to Smithville, Missouri, to compete in the NSIC Championship. Historically, the maroon and gold have never finished better than 10th in this event, but they're hoping to change that this year.

Leading the charge is junior Anaka Lynse (Jr., Wahpeton, N.D.), who has been a consistent standout throughout the spring season. She recently notched her second career top-five finish and captured an individual win at the 2025 Southwest Minnesota State University Classic at Wigwam Resort, the largest tournament victory in program history. Lynse currently ranks 11th in the NSIC and 81st in the region, boasting a team-best scoring average of 79.3 per round. Senior Clara Hanson (Sr., Grand Forks, N.D.) has also been a steady presence for the Golden Eagles. She turned in an impressive 10th-place finish in the team's most recent outing and previously earned an individual title at the 2024 USF Invitational. Hanson is currently ranked in the top 20 in the NSIC.

Minnesota Crookston enters the championship ranked 136th nationally and 26th in the Central Region, with a team scoring average of 331.1, good for seventh in the NSIC.

They'll face a strong field at the conference tournament, which includes perennial contenders like Augustana (ranked 10th in the region) and Minnesota State (ranked 20th), along with Sioux Falls, Wayne State, Winona State, and Concordia-St. Paul, Southwest Minnesota State, Minot State, University of Mary, Bemidji State, and MSU Moorhead.

Augustana is the defending NSIC Women's Golf Champions, winning its 13th straight championship last year.  The Vikings finished the three rounds at 910 (300-310-300) to sit at 46-over-par, to win by 29 strokes.  Winona State was second after rounds of 308-305-326=939.
