CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston will continue their whirlwind opening to their season as they trek to Florida for seven games in a 10-day span in the Sunshine State. The Golden Eagles will open their Florida excursion by playing three Top 25 teams at the UT Baseball Field in Tampa, Fla. The Golden Eagles will face No. 24 Davenport University Friday, February 28 at 12 p.m. C.T. Minnesota Crookston will take on No. 15 Ashland University Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. C.T. They will conclude their three-game stand at No. 3 Tampa at 5 p.m. C.T. The three teams come into the weekend with a combined 20-4 mark.
Minnesota Crookston comes into Friday's game with a 4-3 (3-1 NSIC) record. They are coming off a 3-1 series victory over Wayne State College in Pueblo, Colo. The Golden Eagles have played in California, and Colorado over the last 14 days, and will now work their way east to Florida. Davenport is 6-1. Ashland comes in with a 4-1 mark, while Tampa is 10-2.
