Miller Named NSIC North Division Player of the Week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball player Emma Miller (Sr., G, Albertville, Minn.) was named the NSIC North Division Player of the Week. 

Miller was crucial in a 75-68 win over Black Hills State University in Crookston Wednesday. Miller set the school record for points in a career, surpassing Jamie Zelinsky's mark set in 2011. She scored 26 points in the win, on 8-of-20 from the field. Miller hit 2-of-5 from distance, and 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. She added seven rebounds and three assists. Miller comes into the week with 1,740 career points. She is averaging 25.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game through three tilts. Miller is shooting 41.3 percent from the field, and 35.0 percent from three-point range. She is also looking to climb up the NSIC charts for conference scoring. She comes into Tuesday's tilt with Minnesota State University Moorhead with 1,275 conference points, ranking 10th all-time. The record currently stands at 1,615 from Brooke Olson of the University of Minnesota Duluth.

She last received NSIC Player of the Week accolades as a sophomore December 18, 2023. Miller was also selected NSIC Player of the Week as a freshman December 20, 2022. She is joined by Lydia Haack of Concordia-St. Paul as NSIC South Division Player of the Week.
