Crookston, Minn. – Golden Eagle softball wrapped-up their six game home stand on a cloudy Wednesday afternoon against their Highway-2 rivals, Bemidji State.
BSU controlled game one, 15-0, but the Golden Eagles won a tight game two, 6-5 and got out of a seventh inning rally by the Beavers to escape with a one run victory.
Game One
Bemidji State would take control of the game with a four run first inning. All four runs came on a grand slam.
Both teams would go scoreless in the second and third innings, but the Beavers would break the game open with a seven run top of the fourth.
Already leading 11-0, BSU would score four more runs and hold the Golden Eagles scoreless for the 15-0 win.
Minnesota Crookston finished the game with five hits, including a pair of hits from
Reagan Emerick (R-Jr., MIF, Macomb, Ill.).

BSU wouldn't go away quietly. They would collect six hits in the top of the fourth and get right back in the game with a four run inning.
