Crookston, Minn. – Augustana showed why it is one of the nation's best programs on Sunday afternoon in Crookston, cruising to a pair of sweeps over the Golden Eagles, 22-1 and 11-3, both in five innings.

Game One
Augustana would come out and put the pedal to the metal early on, scoring five runs apiece in each of the first three innings.
Minnesota Crookston would score a run on a
Rayna French (Fr., C, La Salle, Manitoba) RBI single, scoring
Maddie Shwaluk (Sr., OF, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba).
Augustana would score two runs in the fourth and five in the fifth inning for the large victory in the opening game of the doubleheader.
Minnesota Crookston did have two hits off of Grace Glanzer, who threw a perfect game last week against Sioux Falls.
Whitnee Curry (Jr., MIF/OF, Lincoln, Neb.) collected two more hits in the game, while French,
Maddie Shwaluk and
Paige Shwaluk (Sr., MIF, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba) each gathered a hit.
The Golden Eagles saw three pitchers eat up innings in the game.
Evie Stuck (Jr., P, Papillion, Neb.) picked up the loss after giving up eight runs on seven hits.
Kailee Pollard (Jr., P, Marshalltown, Iowa) and
Sydney Eggers (Fr., P, Sylvania, Ohio) each saw time in the circle for the Golden Eagles.
Game Two
The Vikings would put up a four spot in the opening half inning, picking up right where they left off in game one.
The Golden Eagles would answer in the second inning. The Golden Eagles would load the bases and
Maddie Shwaluk would drive in a pair of runs on an RBI double down the left field line, cutting the Augie lead in half. One batter later,
Emerson Thompson (R-So., C, Lincoln, Neb.) would come across to score on a wild pitch.
Leading 4-3, the Vikings would score eight runs in the fourth inning for an 11-3 lead, which would also be the final in five innings.
The Golden Eagles collected one hit in the game which was the double off the bat of
Maddie Shwaluk.
Charlotte Dombrowski (So., P/OF, Valparaiso, Ind.) picked up the loss in the game, giving up 10 runs on 13 hits in 3.1 innings of work.

The Golden Eagles have a quick turnaround, as they welcome in Bemidji State for a doubleheader on Tuesday, starting at 2 P.M.
