CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team is set to take on Concordia University, St. Paul in a four-game series Friday, March 22, Saturday March 23, and Sunday March 24 in St. Paul, Minn. Both teams are eight games into the conference season coming into Friday with the Golden Eagles having a 3-5 mark, and the Golden Bears sitting at 4-4.

Friday's game is set for a 1:30 p.m. first pitch, Saturday's game are slated for 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., while Sunday's tilt will commence at 12 p.m. The Golden Eagles swept Concordia-St. Paul in a three-game series last season in Omaha, Neb. Minnesota Crookston is 6-1 in their last seven games against the Golden Bears.

Minnesota Crookston comes into the weekend with a 9-9 (3-5 NSIC) mark. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 7-4 mark during their 11-game stint at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. They went 2-2 in their last NSIC series against the University of Sioux Falls, played in Auburndale, Fla.

Caden Headlee (R-Jr., OF, Fargo, N.D.) comes in hitting .394 with 17 runs scored, five doubles, one home run, and 13 RBIs. On the mound, Minnesota Crookston comes in with a 5.99 ERA, with 148 strikeouts, and 87 walks. Brody Sorenson has been the leader of the Golden Eagle staff thus far. He is 2-1 with a 3.45 ERA in 28.2 innings pitched, with a team-high 35 strikeouts, and just six walks. Jake Osowski (R-Sr., RHP, East Grand Forks, Minn.) is 3-0 with a 4.56 ERA in 25.2 innings pitched. Newcomer Nate Benning (Fr., LHP, Browerville, Minn.) is 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 18.1 innings pitched.
