Burnsville, Minn. – The NSIC announced the NSIC Men's Basketball All-NSIC Teams for the 2023-2024 season on Thursday morning.
Golden Eagle guard
Blaize Sagna was named to the Second Team All-NSIC. The native of London, England is the first Golden Eagle since Harrison Cleary did it all four seasons as a Golden Eagle, being named to the second team as a freshman and sophomore and the first team as a junior and senior.
Sagna finished fifth in the NSIC in scoring at 20.9 points per game and had seven 30 point games on the season, the most by a Golden Eagle since Cleary had eight 30 or more point games in 2019-20.
Malik Willingham of Minnesota State was named the NSIC Player of the Year, while Charlie Katona of Minnesota Duluth was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Year in the Northern Sun. Jamir Price was named the Newcomer of the Year, while the NSIC Coach of the Year went to Matt Margenthaler of Minnesota State.
