CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team will look to keep their hot start going as they take on the University of Sioux Falls and Augustana University this weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Golden Eagles face the Cougars Friday, February 23 at 7 p.m., and the Vikings Saturday, February 24 at 7 p.m., at Huether Family Match Pointe.
The Golden Eagles sit at the top of the NSIC standings with a 5-0 (2-0 NSIC) mark. Augustana has won 12-straight NSIC Tennis Tournaments. They are 3-1 (1-0 NSIC), while Sioux Falls is 1-1 (0-1 NSIC).

Minnesota Crookston is propelled by Madeleine Schneider (Sr., Gartrigen, Germany). The 2023 All-NSIC selection is 5-0 at the No. 1 singles slot. Daniela de Lucas Rivera (Fr., Madrid, Spain) has made an instant impact at the No. 2 singles spot, posting a 5-0 mark. Nadia Cases Mundet (Fr., Barcelona, Spain) is 5-0 at No. 5 singles, while Kavya Singh (Jr., Agra, India) is 3-1 at the No. 6 slot.
In doubles, the No. 1 pair of De Lucas Rivera and Ariadna Solis Guals (Fr., Santpedor, Spain) is 3-1. At the No. 2 spot, Schneider and Zander are 5-0. Cases Mundet and Singh are 3-0 at No. 3 doubles.
Sioux Falls defeated Morningside College, but fell 7-0 to Augustana. The No. 1 doubles duo of Talia Janos and Chloe Siegfort is 1-1. The No. 2 doubles pairing of Ella Hancock and Sydney Osburn is also 1-1.
In singles, Danielle Thorfinnson is 1-1. Osburn is also 1-1, as is Katelyn Nesheim.
The Vikings are paced by Florentia Hadjigeorgiou, who is 3-1 at No. 1 singles. Senem Ocal is 4-0 at No. 2 singles, while Aleksandra Kistanova is 4-0 at the No. 3 slot.
In doubles, the No. 1 pairing of Hadjigeorgiou and Kistanova is 3-1. The No. 3 duo of Smilte Bakyte and Ocal is 3-0.
