BURNSVILLE, Minn. - University of Minnesota Crookston soccer player Brooklyn Fischbach (Sr., F, South St. Paul, Minn.) was named to the All-NSIC Second Team. Fischbach was the co-leader for the Golden Eagles with two goals in 2024. She has scored four goals, and has one assist in her career after converting from goalkeeper.
Fischbach is the first Golden Eagle to earn All-NSIC accolades since Jada VanOverbeke in 2021. She is the 18th Minnesota Crookston player to earn All-NSIC honors since 2001. She is only the second player since 2016, joining VanOverbeke. Fischbach was a key player for the Golden Eagles as a senior, starting 15 games, and playing in all 18 during her final campaign at Minnesota Crookston. Fischbach had 13 shots, with seven on goal during her senior season.
Kathrina Barthelt of Bemidji State University was selected as the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year. Lucy Weninger of Minnesota State University was named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year. Sydney Potter of Concordia-St. Paul was selected the NSIC Goalkeeper of the Year, while Anna Miotto of Minot State University was named the NSIC Freshman of the Year. Steve Bellis of Concordia-St. Paul was honored as the NSIC Coach of the Year.
